Introducing the 2020 Online Texas Computer Science Summer Academy
Why is it so cheap?
@16:20, technically multimodality is not the same thing as text-to-image. Multimodality refers to foundation models that have multiple modes of operations (they can product text, they can produce audio, they can produce images), and they're all prompt-based models.
Brilliant!
Do online students participate in the commencement event?
Can someone with BSN apply for the program?
This is great 😊
What will be written in the transcript for the degree?
Is this a viable option for someone with an unrelated bachelor (biology) to apply to or is it geared toward people with a background in computer science?
So long as you can get up to speed on graduate level statistics and can work with linear algebra and calculus, and you can code, sure. But make no mistake about it, the heart of it is Mathematics. All that wizardry has math under the hood. That's primarily what you would be signing up for.
@@chacmool2581 thank you my guy.
Are international students not physically present in US eligible for OPT?
Too bad UT Austin was instrumental in bringing the UN plans and programs in starting with the vax. What once used to be considered one of the most premier in higher education including law, is now another arm of the Anti American, promoting communism and this movement into a society of Smart Cities with 24-7 surveillance, trans children, and a dystopian future for all. The worst part is the law school in UT. I've watched as you switched from teaching the illegal American Bar Association laws which is owned by Britain and Vatican, to teaching UN Laws. You'll lose your public funding. And rightfully so. AI should not be the most important thing for you to be focused on. But like Berkeley University, and the rest in California, UT has hired only those professors who are interested in the movement into a globalist community. You should be focusing on saving this Republic, saving our children from trans surgeries, address the truths like anything else. You shouldn't have had those Conventions starting in 2012 for the UN with the vax programs etc.
This is exciting, how does it differ from University of Texas at Austin's current DS program?
DS is focused more on Data + AI. AI is strictly Just AI. It's like an MBA with a concentration in Finance vs MS in Finance. One is generalized + focused while the other is plain focused. It depends on your goals & interest. If you want to learn Data & have an interest in programming, statistics, visualizations, with a little bit of AI, then DS. If you want to Only niche yourself to AI, the this degree.
I was just accepted for Spring 2023 matriculation with a BS in Electrical Engineering

Peguei no mause.
education must be free
It must, but 10 k for the entire program is very competitive, it is a smart investment
you are a bull shit artist but if you ask me, it has been no less than 8 months of your bullshit, eventhough you make it seem like it is more recent... no man, you have bullshitted me or the past 8 months! I can prove it.. wake up, jose
I am not calling you, I came to Omaha, I was misled and humiliated. simple as that, you are the rich and "generous" entity apparently empowering my life, without any empowering at all. you deviced this bull shit scheme which places me at a technical disadvantage, and not to mention that all along your daughter is listening into my room, she is watching me, reading whatever I type. so you could bullshit your way to requiring formal treatment, which I cannot give you. moreover, since you can ignore the obvious, I don't trust you either, hence I work on the law, ethics, morals, value, politics, on my own... because you are a bad deal, I need to come up with something better.. it wasn't until recently that I got the opportunity to objectively evaluate your daughter's behavior which seemed closest to a teenager, and I was like.. woah!.. wait... wait wait... hold on... let me think... wait...
Don't waste your time and money applying to these programs, you have a super slim chance of getting in if you don't have a computer science or math degree. They won't give out such details in their requirements. They are interested in collecting application fees from a wide pool of applicants, which adds up to hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
what do you think about my bachelor "Information communication systems of control technological processes"?
Maybe if you take the pre requisite courses they might let you in? Did you see the list of courses on edx website and did you have that before applying and got rejected?
@@danieldemmsie5660 no
Absolutely. I hope its 10k for the entire 2-3 years and not per year. If so, then you can sign me up.
Placement tests.
*when a person has exactly the same name as you*
Has only been admitted into this program with a non cs undergrad degree ?
Not that I know of personally, but the point of these online programs is that it doesn't take away a seat from a traditionally more 'qualified' grad. Your chances of getting in are higher as you only need to prove yourself. That said it does help to show that you can satisfy data structures, algorithms, statistics, and linear algebra... it's a masters after all.
I have a mechanical engineering degree, got admitted
yes. I hold a bachelor's degree in Humanities; zero background in Computer Science. And I was admitted to the program. The admission committee will require you to take some bridging courses from your local university, coursera, or EDX. Then, you have to let them know that you have already taken the said courses by showing some certificates or thru your statement of purpose. I believe they do not really require certificates. It all depends on you. However, you must make sure that you have taken them because they will help you in your Master's studies. Please coordinate with the admission for the courses.
@@paulo8480 what do you think about my bachelor "Information communication systems of control technological processes"?
@@Shukhratsadulloev Yes, you can definitely apply. Your degree is 10 times closer to CS than mine. However, you must make sure that you have the necessary knowledge, or I would say foundational courses prior to your application. You can check all of them on UT Austin's Website for online MSCS. There are 6 undergraduate courses listed there, and they also provide the descriptions for each course. If you think you have taken all of them, just explain them on your statement of purpose. Good luck to your application.
you know ?

Best Undergraduate CS Program in the world!
Alright well I'm uhm uhm uhm
This was such a great camp! This learning experience was so much fun and everyone was so awesome! The staff was so friendly that we still talk in our group chats 😄 I hope I can come as staff next year, even as a RA! Just being around people who want to learn more about coding and computer science was so awesome. And the UT campus was absolutely beautiful!
Bill Gates is so sincere. It's astonishing how a single man can do so much good in this world.
